3/9/10.......A boost to the funds

Last night’s quiz night in the Royal Oak raised £420.  The final profit from the night will be £390 which will help to pay for the new grass cutting equipment.  There will be another quiz in early December where the club will try to raise the same amount again.

30/8/10.....Boro fined for no-show

The football club has been fined £50 for the failure to fulfill saturdays fixture.  All players are asked to give manager Mark White plenty of notice if they are going to be unavailable for a fixture in the future to try and avoid this situation again.

30/8/10.....Boro hit with points penalty

Malborough have been hit with a three point penalty for failing to field a side at yesterdays match at Stoke Gabriel.

29/8/10.....Anyone for 6-aside ?

For the first time in the clubs recent history Boro have been unable to fulfill a fixture due to not having enough players.  With nine players unavailable the club were only left with six players.  It is likely that Stoke Gabriel 3rds will be handed a 3-0 victory and Boro will recieve a heavy fine.

22/8/10.....Boro  1  Ipplepen  5

Malborough got off to a disappointing start to the season with a home defeat aginst newly promoted Ipplepen Res.  Fog,rain and a strong breeze made playing conditions difficult. The away side led 4-0 at the break but an improved second half showing from Boro was encouraging with Andy King scoring the only goal.

19/8/10.....Dartmouth 3rds 0 Boro 2

Malborough won a competitive friendly last night against their higher opposition opponents.  Rob Hutchings and Dan Bowles gave Boro a two goal lead and Seth Gloyn saved a penalty.

5/8/10.......Liverton again in the cup

Malborough have been handed a home tie in the Herald Cup Round One in a repeat fixture of last year. The visitors were 2-1 winners on that occasion but Boro will be looking to turn the tables this time around.
